Ransomware Attack Compromises Marquis Software Solutions’ Customer and Bank Data

ICS Labs has identified in its research news about a ransomware attack that affected the fintech Marquis Software Solutions, compromising data from 42,784 customers and 67 banks. The provider issued a statement informing that the incident occurred on August 14 through its SonicWall firewall.
According to the company, “The investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party accessed Marquis’ network through its SonicWall firewall on August 14, 2025, and may have obtained certain files from its systems.” Marquis is a provider of marketing and digital and physical communication solutions, serving more than 700 banking clients, thus having access to information from various customers. According to its own investigations, among the files that may have been accessed are data such as names, dates of birth, postal addresses, and Social Security numbers, as well as bank account numbers, debit and credit card numbers of at least 400,000 customers.
Law enforcement authorities have been notified, and “Marquis is working with its corporate clients to notify consumers,” states a notice sent to the Maine Attorney General.
